What is the Stamping Fee?
The Stamping Fee is the fee you are required to pay at a Vietnam airport in order to get the official visa stamped in your passport. The Stamping Fee must be paid in cash (Vietnam dong or U.S. dollars). No credit cards are accepted.
When do I have to pay for the approval letter?
You can pay for the approval letter after you submit your application. If you have problems with payment, email us at email@example.com and we will send you a link to follow in order to pay. Keep in mind that no application can be processed until the full payment is made.
How safe are my credit card details?
My credit card number is correct, but it was not accepted. Why?
There are a few possibilities:
• The card expiration date was entered incorrectly
• You have reached your credit limit
• There was a computer error.
• Your Visa Verified password / MasterSecure Code was entered incorrectly
What credit/debit cards are accepted for online payment?
We currently accept both Debit/Credit cards (Visa & MasterCard) and PayPal for our online Vietnam Visa on Arrival approval letter service.
Problems & Concerns
What if I change my flight and arrive at another airport in Vietnam?
Visa on arrival works if you arrive at any of Vietnam’s international airports: Tan Son Nhat (in Ho Chi Minh City); Noi Bai (in Hanoi), Da Nang (in Da Nang) and Nha Trang City – Cam Ranh Airport . There is no problem with switching between these airports.
Can I travel without an Approval Letter and still get a visa when I arrive?
No, you cannot! In order to board the plane, you must show your Approval Letter to the airline. This letter is also compulsory in order to get a visa at a Vietnam airport. We strongly recommend that you apply for your visa before you leave for Vietnam in order to avoid having to delay or change your flight.
Can I travel without the letter and get the visa when I arrive?
No, you can’t. In order to board the plane, you must show the approval letter to the airlines. This letter is also compulsory in order for you to get the visa at the Vietnam airport. Therefore, we recommend that you leave plenty of time to apply for the visa to avoid having to delay or change your flight.
What should I do if I find out that I entered the wrong passport number?
Shortly after you submit your application, you should receive a confirmation email in the email address you provided us with. In this email, we confirm the information you entered earlier. If you find out any mistakes, please contact us right away by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do not catch the mistake until later, you will have to re-apply for a new visa with the correct information.
Procedures, Tips & Requirements
How long in advance should I apply for a visa approval letter?
You can apply for an approval letter as soon as you wish, however, we advise that you wait until a closer date (1-2 months before departure) to apply for one just in case the schedule or plan might change.
What if my passport has expired?
To apply for a visa to Vietnam, your passport must be valid for at least six months following your application. Therefore, if your passport is about to expire, please renew it before applying for a visa to Vietnam in order to avoid unwanted issues at the airport.
Do I need a photo? If so, what size photo do I need?
Photos are required upon arrival in Vietnam’s airports, so please remember to bring at least two standard photos of passport size (4cm x 6cm).
Do you require a scan of my passport?
A scan of your passport is not required for an online visa application.
Should I provide you with the exact date of my arrival?
No, not necessarily. The arrival date you provide can be earliest date you plan to arrive and you can arrive after that date. However, please note that you must exit the country before the expiry date stated on the approval letter.

What is Visa on Arrival?
Vietnam Visa on Arrival (VOA) is a legal document approved by the Department of Immigration. There are four major benefits to a VOA:
• Legitimate: VOA is granted and approved by the Vietnam Department of Immigration.
• Convenient: easy online application, no need to send passport or photos, and no waiting or delays.
• Cheap: lowest fee than making visa at embassy
• Fast: a VOA can be completed in 2-4 business days
What is the “Approval Letter”?
The Visa Approval Letter is a document (approved by the Immigration Office) that allows you to enter and exit Vietnam for a given time period. With the approval letter, you can pick up your visa upon arrival at any of Vietnam’s international airports.
At the airport, the entry authority will verify the details of the Approval Letter based on your passport and travel documents. As long as you have entered the correct information on your visa application, you should have no problems being granted entry into Vietnam with your Approval Letter.
Note 1: Normally, visa approval letter is usually issued in group and therefore, you may find your name and other information in the same letter as other people.
Note 2: The letter of approval can not be amended once it is issued, you are required to apply for a new letter in case you wish to update your information.
How long does it takes to get the approval letter?
Normally, the approval letter is processed and emailed you within three (3) to five (05) business days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and National Holidays). In urgent cases, you are able to have the approval letter within the time frame below.
Same Day Processing (Working day): If you submit your application and pay the fee before 12.00 PM Vietnam time on a Working day (Monday-Friday), we will send you the letter of approval by 18:00 PM on the same working day.
Next Day Processing (Working day): If you submit your application and pay the fee before 12.00 PM Vietnam time on a Working day (Monday-Friday), we will send you the letter of approval by 18:00 PM on the following (next) working day.
Note: The above processing time does not apply for Friday afternoon (after 12.00 PM) + Saturday and Sunday. Please consider the time difference between Vietnam and your country.
Note: the visa counter at Vietnam airport is 24/7 open so if you already have the approval letter, you can still pick up your visa at Vietnam airport on weekend.
3 month visa: for 3 month visa approval letter, it may take up to 5 working days.

How do I receive my visa approval letter?
A colored scanned copy of the approval letter will be sent to you by email, so please make sure that you have provided us with the correct email address.
Note: the approval letter is in PDF format, so please make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat reader in order to open the file.
Are there any exceptions for entry with this type of visa?
Visa on Arrival is only valid for air travelers. Travelers entering Vietnam by land or by sea must visit a Vietnam Embassy to get their visa stamp. Your Approval Letter will be accepted at the Vietnam international airports.
